It's about 2 inches across and pushes just enough air to keep my paranoia under control. But I like things to last a long time so I hot-glued a small fan on top of the heat sink. Which is fine because I don't play graphics intensive games. I'm not a gamer so I can't say anything about that but it would probably handle some older low end games okay.Ĭons: It doesn't come with a fan. I downloaded the official Nvidia Linux drivers for this card and they installed without a hitch. You don't expect good things like that to happen with a video card upgrade but apparently the old card had been making demands on the cpu that this new one doesn't. I've been using it long enough that my wife said "Hey, this program loads faster and the mouse doesn't jump any more". Pros: Does a great job with Linux running Compiz window manager.
